The climate and conditions in the reservation are ideal for the aurochs and despite the fact it started merely as a touristic project, now the administrators plan on releasing them as they will be included in a program to repopulate the Carpathian Mountains.

The reservation includes a park where children can play and a small farmer’s market where you can find local treats. Here you can also get a ride in the touristic train, that crosses the whole village of Vama Buzăului with the destination of the Howling Waterfall.
